Tennessee rookie running back Stafon Johnson was taken off the field on a stretcher with an air cast on his lower right leg in the third quarter. It is being termed a dislocated ankle.
Tennessee got the only points of the first quarter when Chris Johnson punched the ball into the end zone from a yard out for a 7-0 lead.
Olindo Mare booted a 44-yard field goal and Williams caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from Whitehurst in the second quarter to give the Seahwaks a 10-7 lead heading into the break.
In the third quarter, Mare added a 48-yard field goal while McCoy caught a four-yard touchdown from Whitehurst as Seattle led, 20-7, after three quarters.
Rod Bironas punched a 47-yard field goal in the fourth while LeGarrette Blount's one-yard touchdown run, coupled with a two-point conversion, made it a 20-18 game late in the contest.
